It seems I’m so quick to react to tough situation to pressure. It’s the one thing in grained in me I wish I didn’t have. Recently there is one question that pops in my head after a interview. How do I respond when they ask “What are you weak points?” They may expect me to say well my designs are not that great or my coding is not always up to standards. But to even have me say those words will put me in a position to spend the next year perfecting that very weakness. Hammering at it, as if I had 1hr to cram for a final. And as I continue to think about it my weakness could never be found in the skills I lack but the energy I spend compensating for that lack. What employer, What client could understand that my weakness is not stopping until I get it done. You may wonder how could being unmovable be a weakness. Well my dreams aren’t backed by money or fancy muses. I want time to share with people I care about. Because I’m so tied to solving problems I create problems in obtaining the very dream I want. I guess my challenge now how soon before get the job done that I can redirect that focus to love my family.
Closing notes don’t let anyone tell you your weakness is in some technique. I think your weakness is the things you allow in your life that keeps you from your dreams. And no one but you can control the outcome.

Airplanes-A wish right now!

What would you wish for if you had one chance?
B.O.B Airplanes is my new anthem. Why you ask because I get it!
Man my last article ended on moving forward and shutting the back door. Here is the thing if you have not done that yet. Your missing out on life and its more rewarding than you could even understand. NEVER, EVER did I know such possibilities existed. You know I wrote that question at the top for a reason.
I had once chance one shoot to make something happen. I didn't ask for nobodies bail out I didn't sell myself short and say one day. I said this is my one chance to keep moving. My one shoot to give it everything I got or end up with absolutely nothing. It's funny how the rewards are opposite of the risk you take. Average risk only reaps average rewards. Getting pass that side note I committed to it. I didn't just close the back door I set the house on fire! I either move forward or burn in history. And once the commitment was made I made a move big time!
When your options are to succeed or burn you wont wait for the fire to get out the house.
So I pressed forward, and I HAD ONE CHANCE.
It was what I wish for. So many people think having that one chance means its convenient for you. NO,NO,NO your one shoot are going to be against all odds to show you got what it takes that's your chance to burn or make it happen. Strange and may not make sense but it happens. Its like pouring to much water and then surprise when it hasn't overflowed. Actually that's perfect for how things are going with me right now. It not tap water no,no,no its filtered goodness filling up that cup. But I find it strange with all that water going you would think I would have overflowed just a bit. Now I don't want to pour my heart out and give all the juicy details so I will stick with water. But the act of water overflowing lets consider that my return on time and effort invested. The cup represents my goal and the water represents my actions towards my goal. Hopefully you get the picture I havn't seen the return on the action I have been putting in towards my goal. Its funny I say that and a month from now I may be writing all the time was worth it lol. But lets not get ahead of ourselves.
So what do I do when it seems as if all odds are against me. Well in the past as I do now, I push harder. The harder I push the closer I get. Things are normally hardest just before a breakthrough. Then next best thing is to close the back door. Don't give yourself the option to let up or go backwards, funny how when your only option is forward you put everything into that.

Best Lunch Ever

Often I sit and wonder how amazing life has been so far. Now don't get me wrong I never had the silver spoon. So I'm not saying I have been floating in gaga land with money. By no means is that even close to true. Financially this may be the toughest time I have ever experienced. So why am I so excited and amazed about life.

Because I have been blessed to know certain secrets that get passed down in wealthy circles. Not just know them but understand them. And I look back to think how did I come across the people that teach me these things? Why me, and how could someone with my background ever get exposed to such opportunity? lol I don't have an answer to those questions yet but I'm told there are two great days in a mans life. The day he is born and the day he find out why!

Well before I get into a tangent lets talk about lunch!
I recently had lunch with a millionaire who owned an array of successful business. My goal was to help him understand why he needed me to develop his website for one of those successful business. After much discussion he was excited to bring me on board... when he added a marketing budget!
But what seemed to be a waste of time added more value to my life than ever when he invited me to lunch with him. I've been in big house seen nice cars but I never connected with the people who owned these things. For the first time I connected with someone who was where I wanted to be. What made it so life changing was to see that I wasn't far off from my goals in fact so close I could smell it on my lip lol. As he talked about learning, education, and values I saw we had the same outlook on just about all of our principles. The the only clear gap between us was our understanding of money. That's it!
At the end of lunch he handed me his book and asked that I give him feedback. This was a month ago. now I read multiple books at a time but when I read his book I studied his outlook on money, with short capital I began to understand how to develop wealth. And with more opportunity arising, once I'm in position to capitalize on a small niche the sky is the limit.
Thank you, Reginald Daniel
My first reply to his book will be the story of my success I am so blessed have been exposed to men like him that push me to my next level. It seems every time I move up in understanding to be successful God finds away to put someone there to help me pull all the way through to a higher level. I'm not sure as to why I'm born but I try not to take for granted the blessing I have to impact others.

Giving attitude

New update I'm still a young gun had a chance to hit the creative side of my industry and the dry boring side. and what I found is that I'd like to do my own thing.

So I decided to go into business for myself. Its been a wonderful journey so far I think I will use this thing more often. Well I now have entered into my second job since i left the first one in January. As great as the company was, they did not value me. Here is a quote i heard from a wealthy man
"From your neck down your worth $7.50. From you neck up your priceless.Which one do you feed more"
And from that I will say, if I truly feed my brain there is no job that will value me for what I'm worth. currently I work as a designer/Programmer at the Veterans Administration. I'm a contractor for this great company called Woodpile you may want to check them out. As a young gun in the industry i respect the owners for keeping there skills sharp with changing times.
If I could give any advice for college folks out there wanting to break in the industry it would be understand why successful people are successful and adapt there habits to maximize your own.

In the near future I will go over different ways of finding success no matter what road or industry you embark on. I have been taught by great men everything I wanted to know about success and like a Russell Conwell I just want to let others know about it.

Job Locked Down

So I finally got my job. Its not the best of jobs but its a job and its in my field. Right now Im a web developer. But there training me as a programmer. In the case of this company programmer get paid more, so having a web developer who can program is a easy way to save the company money. Even though I out to be a designer got to take what I can for now. Going to have my art in a book soon, "Everything Is Paint". Also came in the semi-finals of the adobe design achievement awards. Its funny since all my accomplishments are in a visual enviorment you think a company would challenge that person in that area. Well if they decide not to develop me as a designer guess I'll move to a new job. Can wait to my art gets more attention I can do that all day

The Job Hunt

So now that I recently graduated college its off to find a job. its been about 45days since I began this wonderful search. And I would like to share some Graphic Designs FYI. Before returning home to DC, I gained as much interviewing experience as I possibly could. Having a good portfolio means nothing if you cant talk about the process and desired outcome. Why hire a robot when They can make one cheaper. Since returning my interviews have always gone 20 to 30 minutes longer than they were suppose. Like a driving test if your in the car longer you must be doing good. But what I lacked so far is basic content. Like layouts for annual reports and magazines. No on cares if you say you can do the job, unless your already known for getting it done. Since I'm nobody and I have yet to do it, than who am I to say there wrong for not hiring me. So for fresh graphic designers, you should fill your portfolio with everything you know you can do, dont assume that employers can read into your potential because there designers. To me designers are nothing but coders with a more colorful view of the world.(NOT ARTIST)

First Post

Well I just got my blog up and running.
